 Meet Jesper: The Resilient Burmese Cat in Search of a Loving Home  Jesper is a remarkable male adult Burmese cat with a heart full of love and a spirit that has endured so much. This unique feline is currently in desperate need of a new home where he can thrive and enjoy a peaceful retirement.  Jesper's journey began when he was lovingly cared for by a compassionate lady who, unfortunately, passed away at a young age. Following her passing, Jesper found himself overwhelmed by the changes in his life. With numerous people entering and leaving the home, he became frightened and eventually took to the streets, navigating life as a stray for several years. Despite the challenging circumstances, Jesper's resilience shone through as he formed bonds with other cats.  

Fortunately, Jesper's luck changed when he was trapped by the dedicated team at Helping Dogs and Cats. A microchip check revealed his background and led them to his late owner's mother, who was eager to care for him and honour her daughter's memory. However, Jesper struggled to readjust to indoor life, feeling out of place and anxious.  The initial plan was for Helping Dogs and Cats to chip Jesper to their organisation, allowing him the freedom to roam between homes under their watchful eye. Recently, a concerned friend who had previously alerted the organisation about Jesper reached out, noticing that he had lost weight and seemed lethargic. A visit to the vet confirmed that Jesper was suffering from hypothyroidism. Thankfully, he has begun treatment and is starting to enjoy the comforts of indoor living for the very first time.  

Sadly, the lady currently caring for Jesper spends significant time abroad and is unable to provide him with the stable home he truly deserves. Therefore, we are urgently seeking a special retirement home that can accommodate Jesper's unique needs and provide him with the love and care he craves.  Jesper is a gentle soul who deserves a second chance at happiness.
