Meet Jabu & MACKIE

Delightful Duo – Jabu and Mackie

These two little peas in a pod are the perfect pair!

Jabu is a 13-year-old Jack Russell, and Mackie — his eyes and ears — is a 9-year-old Pug cross Jack Russell.

Jabu is a wonderful, friendly lad who adores people and other dogs. He relies on Mackie for comfort and support, but at home he’s also quite independent and happy to chill out and do his own thing. You’ll often find him curled up on the sofa snoozing away — unless he’s following you around being nosey!

Mackie is also a people lover. She’s very happy curled up on your lap or beside you, or she’ll be your little shadow until she settles in — then she’ll snooze peacefully next to Jabu.

Mackie is dog-friendly but can give an excitable bark at the moment due to being on the lead. In her last home, she was always off-lead, and this new routine can cause Jabu to bark too. Their foster carer is working on this, and they’re both making great progress.

This dynamic duo are sadly looking for a new home after losing both of their owners close together .They have been well loved and cared for, and they give back so much affection and joy in return.

Both are very easy-going and well-behaved in the home, with great training already in place. Jabu is currently learning to respond to a whistle as he is hard of hearing, and Mackie is learning to walk nicely on the lead. They’re both doing brilliantly — they just love to please!

They enjoy snuggling up on the bed with you overnight and will snooze together until you’re ready to start the day. They can be left for a few hours with no problems at all — they’ll just curl up on the sofa and nap.

Mackie does require monthly baths, and we will provide adopters with all the information they need about this.

They could potentially share their home with cats, as they have lived with cats previously and show no reaction to them on walks.

They could live with children aged 8 and over and would be best suited to a quieter home where they can relax and enjoy their well-earned daily snoozes.

Both love their daily walks and are happy to go for as long as you like — Jabu enjoys a good sniff and greeting people, while Mackie loves to explore.

These two are simply wonderful — you can’t help but fall in love with them . They will bring joy and love to the lucky home that adopts them. Could they be yours?
