Meet MILdred

When Mildred first came into our care, she was a heartbreaking sight—hairless, frail and desperately in need of love. With time and patience she has blossomed into a beautiful, affectionate cat who is ready for the next chapter of her life.

Estimated to be around 5 years old (though her stray beginnings make it hard to say for sure), Mildred has overcome more than most. She’s had entropion surgery on one of her eyes, and she also lives with a condition known as Haws Syndrome, likely linked to her sensitive digestive system.

Mildred’s Special Diet

Over the course of her time in foster, we've learned that Mildred thrives on a very specific diet: insect-based biscuits. When given only these, she is a picture of health. Unfortunately, in her current home—shared with other animals and children—temptation is everywhere, and Mildred being the resourceful little scrounger she is, finds it hard to resist. This results in upset tummies and painful flare-ups.

To truly thrive, Mildred needs a quiet, child and pet free home where she can stick to her specialist diet without the risk of table scraps or curious paws leaving food unattended. In such an environment, she does wonderfully—full of purrs and snuggles.

The Home Mildred Needs

❌ No other pets or young children

✅ A calm and controlled environment where her diet can be strictly managed

✅ Someone patient and understanding of her health needs, who can continue to give her the consistency she needs to flourish

Mildred is affectionate, resilient, and utterly deserving of a second chance. She may have dietary needs, but she’ll reward the right person with endless love, purrs, and companionship. She has come so far and now  just needs her happy ever after.
