MEET ROSA

 Meet Rosa — a beautiful, kind-eyed 5-year-old Shepherd–Hound mix originally from Cyprus.  After sadly losing her owner, Rosa is now looking for a foster home with a view to adopt. Could that be with you? 

 Rosa is a large girl, but as gentle as they come. True to her Shepherd nature, she likes to take her time getting to know new people and building trust. But once you’ve earned her friendship, you gain a loyal, loving companion for life — and what a girl she is!  Rosa adores fuss and affection, and she’s happiest sharing a sofa with her favourite humans. She’s incredibly intelligent (sometimes a little too clever! . She learns quickly but also has an independent streak, so a home with routine and consistency would help her thrive.  She’s a real homebody who loves snoozing on the sofa, with short bursts of playful energy and zoomies. Rosa enjoys her walkies — one to two good walks a day and a garden or space to stretch her legs would be ideal. But most importantly? 

She’s searching for that perfect comfy sofa spot. Thanks to her houndy side, Rosa can be quite the chatterbox. Not a barker — more of a cute, chatty “talk” to let you know when she needs a toilet break, dinner, or a bit of playtime.  Rosa needs a gentle, experienced owner who can give her the time and space she needs to settle, and slowly help her build confidence as she explores the world. She’s very trainable but also brings her clever street smarts along with her.  

Despite her size, Rosa walks beautifully on a lead. She’s currently being crate-trained in foster, and in her previous home could be left alone for up to four hours — this will need to be built up gradually again.  Rosa can live with dog savvy children aged 14 plus She may be able to live with a calm, tolerant male dog, or she’d be perfectly happy as an only dog. No cats or small furries, please.  To support a smooth transition, Rosa will need multiple meet-and-greets, including a couple of home visits before moving in.  Rosa is a truly wonderful girl and a loyal companion. If you have Shepherd experience — and a spare spot on your sofa — she just might be the perfect match for you.
