Age

Holly is a kind, affectionate and gentle girl who might take a little time to warm up to you. But once you've earned her trust, you've got a friend who loves with her whole heart. Sadly, Holly was found as a stray and we know very little about her past. Thankfully, some wonderful people took her in, kept her safe and helped her find her way to us. She has been wonderful meeting people, including children, out on walks, and has such a lovely, gentle nature.

Considering her unknown past, Holly has taken to family life beautifully. She's clean in the home, happy being left for around 2 hours, walks beautifully on the lead, travels well in the car and is generally a lovely, well-mannered girl. She loves getting out and exploring the world, enjoys her daily walks and would love a good run in a secure enclosed field a few times a week. She has recently discovered toys, and the absolute joy of zooming around with other dogs! But in true lurcher style, once the fun is over she can usually be found curled up somewhere comfy, snoozing away. As she settles into her forever home, she'll likely need a little guidance with basic training and new routines.

Holly loves zooming around with other dogs, and ideally she would share her home with a compatible canine companion who enjoys playing, zooming and, of course, napping. Cats, however, are a firm no, thank you! She isn't cat friendly and will bark at them on walks, although her love of tasty treats makes helping her learn to disengage and move on much easier. Holly could live with children aged 8 and over.

Holly would thrive in a loving, cat-free family home where she can enjoy adventures, playtime and plenty of cuddles. She'd love daily walks and secure opportunities to run, with patient people who will let her build trust at her own pace. Children aged 8 and over are fine, and ideally she would have a compatible canine companion to play with.

We might not know what Holly's first five years looked like, but we know exactly what we'd love her future to hold: a family, a home, adventures, comfort and a lifetime of being somebody's very special girl. Holly is a gentle soul with a wonderfully fun side, a little speed demon and a whole lot of cuddle monster. Holly is in foster in Basingstoke.
