Everything you need to know about Max, his personality and the home he is hoping for.
Max is a gorgeous young spaniel cross with a huge personality, a love for life and an even bigger love for people. He's a little bundle of happiness, enthusiasm and spaniel-fuelled chaos, and he's everyone's best friend, always happy to offer cuddles, affection and attention... well, when he's not busy doing important spaniel things!
Dogs: Max absolutely adores other dogs. He's fabulous with them and would love a home with another playful dog who can match his energy but also knows when it's time to settle down for a snooze. We would consider Max as an only dog in the right home, provided his family can offer plenty of physical exercise, mental enrichment and regular opportunities to socialise with his doggy friends. Cats: Max is cat friendly. He's previously lived with cats and currently shares his foster home with one. He's naturally curious about what they're up to but is respectful and happy to leave them to their own business. Children: Max has spent time around children of varying ages and has been a lovely, friendly boy. We feel he could happily live with children aged 8 years and over.
Max is everything you'd expect from a young spaniel cross: bright, curious, enthusiastic and full of beans! He loves being outdoors, running around, playing tug, exploring and getting stuck into training. He already has some lovely basic training in place, is eager to please and enjoys training, so there's plenty of potential for his new family to build on. He's also learning the art of swapping in his foster home because, well... Max has developed a bit of a sock fetish! Apparently, socks are fascinating treasures when you're a young spaniel.
Max needs a family who understands that behind that adorable face is a busy, intelligent young dog who needs time, attention, training and plenty of opportunities to enjoy life. He's not looking for a home where he'll simply be walked around the block and left to entertain himself. An active, engaging home that enjoys keeping both his brain and body busy is a must. Attending positive reward-based training classes is part of his adoption, so that he and his new family get off to the very best start together.
Max is looking for people who want to get involved, have adventures, enjoy training and help him grow into the wonderful adult dog we know he can become. In return, you'll get an affectionate, funny, enthusiastic little companion who has so much love to give. Max really is every bit as lovely as he sounds! If you think you could offer Max the home he's looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
