Meet Nova: A Sweet and Smart Companion Ready for Her Forever Home  Nova is a 3-year-old abroad rescue with a heart full of love and a story that showcases her resilience. She’s a bright, curious, and affectionate girl who thrives in a calm, predictable environment. Despite a challenging past, Nova has made incredible strides and is eager to find her perfect match—a patient and understanding family to help her blossom further.   

What Makes Nova Special  Nova is a loyal companion who forms deep bonds with her trusted people. Once she gets to know you, she’ll shower you with affection and her charming "awoo" chats. While she’s cautious around new faces, she prefers a gentle approach and appreciates being given the time and space to trust. Nova’s sharp mind and eagerness to learn make her a joy to train, and she already knows commands like "sit," "down," and "yes" for behavior modification.   

Her Perfect Day  Nova loves exploring new environments filled with exciting scents to sniff, making her a fantastic walking buddy. She’s happiest on quiet, enriching walks where she can take her time. Afterward, she enjoys unwinding in her cozy crate with a chew or cuddling with her people. Her love for treats like JR pate and natural chews adds an extra sparkle to training sessions or quiet bonding moments.   

What Nova Needs  Nova’s ideal home is a calm household without children or other pets. She would thrive with experienced and patient adopters who understand her need for gradual introductions and respect her boundaries. A secure outdoor space where she can safely explore would be a wonderful bonus.   

Nova’s Compatibility With People: Nova takes time to warm up to new people but becomes deeply loyal once trust is established. She prefers to meet strangers at her own pace and loves forming meaningful connections.  

With Dogs: Nova is selective about her canine companions. She’s comfortable coexisting with calm, older dogs who respect her space but can become defensive with overly excitable or fast-approaching dogs.  

Her Accomplishments  Nova is fully house-trained and prefers to do her business on grass during her walks. She’s crate-trained and finds comfort in her crate during alone time or in overstimulating situations, like when guests are over. Nova travels well in the car, making her an excellent companion for adventures near and far.
